The OED (Oxford English Dictionary) web server bion.mit.edu will
go down at 11pm, Friday 11/12 for a software upgrade. During this
outage, the machine will be upgraded to Athena 8.3. We are scheduling 2
hours for this outage, although if all goes well, bion could be back in
service more quickly than this. The OED web service normally accessible
from bion will be unavailable for the duration of the outage.
Notifications of the status of the outage will be sent to the "consult"
instance.
