outage for OLTA/OWL server

	The OLTA/OWL server nemesis.mit.edu will be unavailable for
approximately one hour early Thursday morning (1/21/99), beginning at 1
am, in order to upgrade it to new hardware.  During this time, new OLTA
and OWL questions will not be able to be asked, and questions currently
in the queue will be unavailable.  10.001 will have ended before this,
so there shouldn't be any classes actively using OLTA at the
time. During this time, discuss meetings stored on nemesis will be
unavailable as well.  These include the the 6.170-students and 6001-help
meetings, as well as logs of previously answered OLTA and OWL questions.
An hour of outage time is being scheduled for this upgrade, but if all
goes well, it should be over more quickly than that.  Status reports
will be sent to -i consult during the outage.
