In-Reply-To: <199901140255.VAA24988@killer.mit.edu> Date: Wed, 13 Jan 1999 22:09:06 -0500 To: trans-trb@MIT.EDU From: Bob Mahoney <bobmah@MIT.EDU> Cc: hotline@MIT.EDU, network@MIT.EDU, "Louis A. Isgur" <larugsi@MIT.EDU> One repeater was down: *w51-010a-rep-1. 1/13 20:40 timeout 12/30 17:37-12/31 7:43 unreachable but I suspect it's only the management, as at least some the hosts originally complained about (burton-conner- through burton-conner-5) are pinging again. Lou called the dorm, and people are using these machines, at least. This may well be the result of some attack (incoming or outgoing...), and so it may return, but I don't see anything to be done at the moment. trans-trb: The next time someone's in this area, can you reset this repeater and see if it comes back? There are other repeaters over there that may be in the same state, since October: *w51-030a-rep-1. 10/ 9 14:42 timeout 9/24 21:42- 9/24 21:42 unreachable *w51-410t-rep-2. 10/ 9 13:45 timeout 9/24 21:42- 9/24 21:42 unreachable *w51-410t-rep-3. 10/ 9 13:45 timeout 9/24 21:42- 9/24 21:42 unreachable Thanks. -Bob At 9:55 PM -0500 1/13/99, Louis A.
