The following machines in the ME athena cluster 3-462 are dead/dying:
name type description
godred indy dead. seems to be a problem with the scsi disk. i've tried
reinstalling the OS, but i get scsi timeouts every time.
diesel indy dead most of the time. ecc/cache parity errors (probably
something wrong with the cpu daughtercard) reinstalling the
OS does not do any good.
trevor indy apparently a memory error, but i do not have the keys to
open it up to re-seat the dimms. reinstalling the OS does
not help.
please contact matthew wall at mbwall@mit.edu to arrange a time to fix the
machines. i'm available tuesdays, wednesdays, and thursdays from 9-4, but
i can come earlier or stay later if necessary.
