Hi,
around 9:30 this morning (Friday, July 24), I left my workstation in 66-080
to go to the bathroom. I had left a big xscreensaver window showing the time
ellapsed (less than 5 minutes) and the time left. When I returned I saw
a person, presumably an Athena employee, rebooting my workstation (btw,
the cluster was virtually empty at that time). When I asked him what he was
doing he claimed that "it went blank", which is highly unlikely to have
happened in the 5 minutes I was gone, while it had not happened on this same
workstation in several hours (even days) of work during the last 2 weeks.
So, I suggest that you emphasize to your employees (students?) who make the
rounds that they should NOT automatically reboot any locked workstation
regardless of how long it has been locked. I paid for my visit to the
bathroom with 2 hours of run gone, because of the inadequacy of this employee.

P.S. I hope you can find out who this employee was. He was wearing a
dark reddish shirt, and he was quite tall with light-color hair.
