Hello,
The machine Air-traffic-controller (now renamed
merriweather), which you replaced the hard drive for recently, is still
unable to boot. When I came in to N42 earlier today, I found that it
had failed te install Lou had started on it when it needed to reboot,
and gave the error:
Autoboot failed:
scsi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(1)/unix: media not loaded
I tried starting an install myself, which failed at the same point with
the same error. If you get a chance to come by and look at this, that
would be great. Thanks.

I have a felling the problem with this system is that there pointing to
8.2 the same is with the test-sgi in w20-575
there acting the same.

Well, the update doesn't attempt to recover from a mid-update crash,
but
I took a look at the machine anyway; it was powered up, and had
panicked
again (SIMM error). I rebooted it, and it was indeed booting off of
the
miniroot for update. (It came up successfully in the miniroot, but it
failed to restart the update, since the target root filesystem was
dirty).
I left it powered off, with a sign saying "SIMM Error".

Even after swapping out all the SIMMs it did the same thing. I'de say
it's a hard drive. I didn't bring one with me.

Needs a hard drive and I will get to that tomorrow.

I tried a new hard drive and that wasn't the case.
