Dear Sir or Madam --

My name is Dave Matheu and I'm a graduate student working with Asst. Prof.
William Green here in Chemical Engineering, 66-266. We're using his old
athena workstation in our office. Prof. Green's new workstation was set
up for him in his office a few weeks ago, with the same IP address. I've
submitted a request to our computing person (Peter Maloof) for a new IP
address for the old workstation, which hasn't been turned on yet.

The network connection is all ready to go, and we've already been billed
for both Prof. Green's new workstation and the old one. Once I have the
new IP address, what do I need to do to set up this machine?
Specifically, how do I change the hostname and IP address on an
"athena-ized" workstation, as this one is? Assuming I can do this, will
it behave just like a public-cluster athena workstation (i.e. runs MATLAB,
MAPLE, etc.)?

Thanks,

Dave Matheu
