A number of machines in the building 66 cluster began having problems at
about 10:35. named seemed to have crashed on these machines. I was
able to login as root on most machines and reboot them. They are now
fine.
m66-080-13 would not permit a root login. It displayed the "Workstation
failed to activate message." The Sparcs displated the same message.
STOP-A and then boot fixed the Sparcs.
I rebooted all machines with numbers higher than 14 in the cluster and
will reboot the rest. All those that I have rebooted have come up
without problems and are now accepting logins correctly.
