Hi all,
I was reported that the sgi (porter), the Sparc4 (drimer) and another
sparc4 (deceiver) were not usable. From what I can tell, all 3 systems share
a quad transceiver. Thw watch-net command on the suns shows a link connection,
as well as the link light being lit on the transceiver. All 3 systems are
unable to take a re-install of software, because they are unable to get out to
the net. It may be quite possible that the jack/drop labeled 1-245-4 is having
a problem. Please look into and keep hotline posted.
Much Appreciated,
--Lou
Other items checked are as follows:
Host & hes are present for the 3 systems in question.
Have reseated the utp connection on the transceiver, as well as checking the
aui cabless to the transceivers ports.
Have checked with the network people as far as any know trouble in the area.
Do not have another quad transceiver, or I would of tried a swap.
