	I took a look at this machine.  The arm that prevents the cover from
going too far back when opened was bent a lot.  It looks like someone tried
to open the cover and bent it trying to shut it.  It is a non-essential piece.
I have removed it from the printer.  There are 5 other screws securing the
cover in place, performing the same function as the cover hinge arm.

This HP was reported with the cover open and some metal piece hanging from
the cover. Have verified that it was the cover hinge, which appears to be 
pretty bent. I have done my best to reshape it and get the cover to close
without forcing it. Kyle, you may want to evaluate the hinge on this cover.
Printer is currently working, and the cover appears to be stable for now.
