Prof. Larry Frishkopf has reported that the above Sun Classic has been down
for the last few days. I have troubleshooted this system, and my findings
point to a network related problem, other then the hardware itself. On a hunch,
I have briefly spoken with Jerry Burke, and then Bob Mahoney regarding this
issue. I have found out that their were some network related issues between
Dave Foss, and our network people, and that it appears that Prof. Frishkopf's
system may have fell through the cracks regarding its new IP address.

Here is the current info. on the system in question:
1. Its a Sun Sparc Classic with the hostname of eecs-ath-18.
2. Its IP address is or was 18.62.3.209.
3. System Location: 36-824
4. Jack #: 36-824-1
5. Prof's Name: Larry Frishkopf at X3-7810
6. Athena ID (lsf@MIT.EDU)
Larry is in need of this system ASAP.
Tom, if this issue is in your area, could you please let Larry know when the
system will be usable again, and if their is anything that Larry needs to do.
If their is anything I can do to help or speed the process up, please llet me
know, and keep me posted.
