Subject: Quickstation screwed up
Date: Wed, 15 Apr 1998 16:55:00 EDT
From: Dan Aguayo <superman@MIT.EDU>
I'm sure I'm not the first to email you, but just in case, one of the
quickstations on the third floor of the student center is screwed up,
and is sitting on a grey screen, with an "ok" prompt.. Typing "boot"
returns "bootblk: can't find the boot program".. Someone here says
it's been like this for a while..

This would be quickstation-3,, and it will not take software. It appears that
the system also has a different root passwd. Its quite possible that the hard
drive may have gone south, and will need to be replaced. Please follow up.
Thanks,

Have assisted Barry in troubleshooting this system. We have found that the
system bd is bad, and possibly the hard drive. The system bd has been replaced
and software re-installed. System now back up and in use. Barry will do the
REPAIR FORM, and test the hard drive that was in question.
