BULLETIN
Please forward this notice to anyone in your department whom you feel
may require access to this information.
A number of options for communicating with the Physical Plant have been
provided for the convenience of the MIT community. The purpose of this
bulletin is to provide clarification in the use of these options.
Repair and Maintenance
Functions: Routine and emergency response to all building related repair
and maintenance issues, including all required preventive maintenance
work.
To Report Repair and Maintenance Problems or Request Service
The most efficient methods to report problems or request service are:
1) World Wide Web, http://web.mit.edu/plant/www/rm/rm-map.html
NOTE: For greatest ease in accessing our reporting form,
bookmark the above WWW address
or
2) Telephone call to the appropriate local zone

PLEASE: Do Not report emergencies or problems that require an immediate
response by submitting a WWW request. Requests of this nature should be
reported by calling the local zone and following the voice mail prompts.
An emergency is any situation that places MIT property in danger of
damage or destruction.

For Repair and Maintenance Questions, Information or Status Updates
Questions, information or inquiries regarding the status of existing
work requests should be made via e-mail to the local zone or by the
local zone telephone number. If you know who is handling the work, you
may contact that person directly.

PLEASE: Do Not send e-mail to initially report a problem or request
service. Using e-mail for this purpose delays the response to your

For Department/Sales Work
Interdepartmental requisitions can be sent to the Repair and Maintenance
Support Group in E19-129 or sent by electronic requisition via EREQ
Keys
Functions: Lock changes, key changes and key distribution
Requisitions: Interdepartmental requests can be sent to the Repair and
Maintenance Support Group in E19-129 or sent by electronic requisition
via EREQ.

ATTENTION: For lock repairs, refer to the Repair and Maintenance section

Functions: Indoor cleaning, small scale furniture setup and pest control
