When I first began using Sparc4 m56-129-25, it would occasionally beep
and fall to an 'ok' prompt with no explanation. Typing 'go' would
resume and the system would be all right after a manual screen redraw,
but the problem would reoccur within a few minutes.
I logged out and restarted, and it seemed to be working more stably
though a bit slowly for about an hour. Then it crashed hard, dropping
silently to an 'ok' prompt and not responding at all to keyboard or
mouse.
I did a hard restart and have put a note on the keyboard reading "Warning:
occasional unexplained crashes. Hotline has been contacted." It doesn't
seem to need to be taken completely out of service, but it should be
looked at.
