I've had the same problem with three Sun stations in this cluster. I've
tried m1-142-11, m1-142-4, and m1-142-3. Everything else seems to be
working, but I cannot get it to read a CD-ROM (*-4 and *-3 say that the
/cdrom directory doesn't exist; *-11 says that it's empty (and I know that
my CD-ROM has data on it and I've tried several of them)). I know that
even in the case of *-11 it hasn't mounted the CD-ROM, because I don't have
to use eject, but can just push the eject button.
Furthermore, I can't get it to "ls /". None of them will do it. They say
they're waiting on the NFS server and still trying for /vol. They will
list /mit or /tmp or /usr, but not /.
