hi guys,
meeko is still having problems. it rebooted this weekend and was still
trying to deal with bad blocks on the harddisk when i left friday. it
seems to have booted into some sort of metastable state later on friday,
because sometime friday evening it started sending error messages to
postmaster@mit.edu, one per hour, about not being able to execute
/etc/chkconfig. i came in this afternoon and took it off the network.
tried to boot it into single user mode and run fsck, which is currently
reporting unrecoverable block errors for at least a hundred or so blocks
on the harddisk. anyway, i think the disk probably needs to be replaced
on it.
