Sorry for the delayed replay. There are a couple of issues here.
That error message looks like the output of the "tokens" command. I
don't know why that is being run, perhaps out of their dotfiles?
Probably of greater concern is the fact that it reports that they
don't have any tokens. My only guess as to what might cause this is
them being in too many groups on the local machine. you can try
copying /etc/group.local to /etc/group as root and then have them log
in again. (This is due to a combination of a known bug in the athena
login stuff and the user being added to or removed from a group and a
machine not reactivating regularly (generally because someone is
logged in remotely.))
