Walking through the W20 cluster today, there seemed to be a fair
number of jams, and even more cases of partial reams sitting open
next to printers.
I think the general theory is that leaving partial reams open
causes the humidity to curl the paper and increase the likelyhood
of jamming (esp. if no one fans the paper). Maybe we go through paper
too fast for that to be an issue?
Anyway, maybe the next round of printer signage could request
users only load full reams?
thanks.
Also, the printers don't seem to be consistently set with regard
to the "stop printing when toner is low" setting -- what's that supposed
to be set to during normal operation?
