Since I am unclear who is responsible for the hardware upkeep
of this machine, I'm mailing a few of everyone, sorry if this
shoudl not be directed to you. The machine m33-220a-1 has continually
'frozen" and crashed for the past several days. It appears to be
most common when users are running framemaker. There are no
useful messages in /var/adm/messages and when the machine freezes,
it really freezes. It stops responding to ping, the console itself
stops taking input (keyboard, mouse etc), the clock on the display
stops and hitting stop-a fails to get a prompt of any sort.
(Note: that there are some messages now in /var/adm/messages
re a disconnected cable, those are because of my fiddling with
the clips for other reasons, there were no such messages when the
machine went down.)
