Dear Mark,
we are still trying to do a restore
of a backup using sg6. please find below one of
the problems.
Just did this....
sg6 1# hinv
1 100 MHZ IP20 Processor
FPU: MIPS R4010 Floating Point Chip Revision: 0.0
CPU: MIPS R4000 Processor Chip Revision: 2.2
On-board serial ports: 2
On-board bi-directional parallel port
Data cache size: 8 Kbytes
Instruction cache size: 8 Kbytes
Secondary unified instruction/data cache size: 1 Mbyte
Main memory size: 32 Mbytes
Integral Ethernet: ec0, version 1
Disk drive: unit 1 on SCSI controller 0
Integral SCSI controller 0: Version WD33C93B, revision D
Iris Audio Processor: revision 10
Graphics board: GR2-XS24 with Z-buffer
tape drive doesn't show is this a problem?
rebooted and still get:....

the xterm problem remains as well...

Dear athena hotline,
sg6 will not open an xterm for users. The error
message on the console window is:
xterm: no available ptys
......
I tried rebooting the machine but the problem
remains.
BTW vrt has the root passwd for this machine.
