At approximately 1:21 pm there was a cable fault on the Comm Electric
system that affected the M.I.T. campus. There were several power dips
and at this time it is not clear if the electrical system is stable.
As additional information becomes available it will be forwarded to you
via Email. This same information will be put on the Physical Plant
Emergency Information line, ext. 3-1300.
