Hi,
I have some trouble using floppy disks on the sun workstations. Any attempt
to access the floppy results in the following error message:
User root (0000-Admin(0000)) at host m38-370-19 has requested
that a floppy volume named floppy be loaded into a drive on m38-370-19.
The "eject" command results in the same stupid error message, which is
kind of annoying on the Sun work stations. "eject -f" doesn't work either.
m38-370-20 has the same problem, the digital workstations, however, can read
my floppy disk.
I assume that there is a hardware defect or software installation problem
(maybe only root is entitled to use the floppy ??). I used the same commands
last week and there was no problem with these machines. Please check them.
