This machine seems to have been in a very bad state.  It was in a
'snow crashed' state.  The screen was a mixture of static and what was
on the screen when it crashed.  A message about 'BAD TRAP:' was
faintly visible through the screen static.  I powered down the machine
and monitor and left a note.
