Hi Peter -
I have removed the AUI cable from the transciever to the
cpu and connected the transciever directly to the cpu.
I have also started a reinstall of software which should
be done around 10am today.
There are a few other systems in this room that the aui
cable can be removed from and also have the transciever
directly attached to the cpu. I did not make this change
in case this is the way you wanted it.
I would recommend that the thin-net cables be replaced
due to their age, and some of the problems will go away.
Since we dont have thin net in any of our rms we dont have
any extra, so you might try telecom in bldg. e19.
Any questions feel free to contact me directly.
