hi there. in the basement of rotch and the machine i
was just working on has crashed. i contacted olc and
they instructed me to push the black button on the
front of the machine (and sgi indy) to reboot. that
isnt' working.
i was editing a text file, went to save it, and then
the machine crashed. there's a message on the screen,
part of which reads, "PANIC: assertion failure!
Dumping to dev 0"
crazy thing is, the exact same thing happened on this
machine when it tried editing and saving also. only
on this one (also an sgi indy) it rebooted itself
fully.
anyway olc said to contact you and let you know. in
regards to the machine not rebooting, am i still
logged into it also? don't want to leave without being
sure i'm not logged in there also...
