Hi Brian,
Here is the skinny!
1. I have fixed the 320 oliver. I have removed one 3 amp fuse from the
planar bd, from the system that Mike Barker gave us. This system is
currently in the staging room under the 220 key box.
2. I believe that I have also fixed the 220 Pickled-Herring.
This system was troubleshooted down to a faulty mouse, which has
shorted out every Planar bd installed by Decision 1. I have replaced
the mouse, and have given you the homicidal mouse as exhibit 'A'.
Next I have replaced a 1.6 amp fuse on the planar bd. in
Pickled-Herring. It was now unable to see the hard drive. I then
have removed the entire planar bd from the 220 M37-312-11,, and have
swapped it out with Pickled-Herring. The system is now installing
software. I have asked Karl Ram to page me if and when it comes up.
I am confident that the system is now fixed, but not 100% sure.
3. I have placed a call to Decision 1 requesting that Frank call you
in the a.m. on Thursday. I was asked for a time for the call. I
gave 9:00a.m.
In conclusion: This is where we stand hardware wise at this point
in time.
A). Mike Barker's 320 CPU is in the staging room, and will require
one 3 amp fuse installed on the planar bd.
B). The M37-312-11 cpu is currently in the staging room as well,, and
will require a planar bd. If fuses are optional, which I doubt,
it will require one 1.6 amp fuse.
The M37-312 monitor is located in the 37 machine room. I have the
security rods to the cpu, which are in the anchor pad, but do not
have the 2 lock cylinders. Joe, do you have the cylinders??
C). If and when Desicion 1 makes the repair on M37-312-11 in the
staging room, a CSR should go with Frank to 37-312 and fire the
system up. This should complete this hardware caper.
Thanks,
--Lou
