On Sunday Nov 26th at approx 8:30am, a Cambridge Electric 13.8kv cable
faulted. This fault caused an extremely short power dip at MIT as well as
most of the city. Celco did not discover the location of the fault until
tonite...the fault was located on their tie cable 13-35X at the corner of
Hampshire and Portland Streets... the cable is a tie cable between Putman
Station in North Cambridge and Kendall Station, located near Longfellow
Bridge. Celco will repair the cable on Monday Nov 27th. Repairs will not
affect MIT.
