Question: Can a Sprac 10 be Athenanized?
I have a SPARC 10 which is currently on the SERC network in the Aero/Astro
department. My advisor has expressed interest in getting the SPARC 10 on the
Athena network. Our lab group currently has a SPARC 5 on the Athena network.
If the computer can be Athenanized, what do I need to do for this to happen. If
it can not, what are my options?
Question: Can the Athena consultants set up a newly purchased X-terminal on the
Athena network?
My advisor has just purchased a NCD 15R X-Terminal, and we would like the X-terminal
to be connected to the Athena network. Like I mentioned, we have a SPARC 5
(merlot, 18.78.0.250) which is connected to the Athena network. Are there
source files on the Athena network for the X-terminal? Additionally, is there a
XDM capability available for the X-terminal? If the X-terminal can be connected
to the Athena network, what do I need to do for this to happen? If it can not,
what are my options?
