I think the HP repair crew needs to be called in yet again on printer thesis.
When I printed the departmental copies of my thesis on printer thesis at
the end of October, printer thesis was printer cleanly, and the duplex
was lining up perfectly. The chairman of my thesis committee recently
requested two originals of my thesis on archive paper and before printing
them on printer thesis, I sent a test duplex page. Not only has the
print quality on duplex degraded since October (there is sometimes significant
toner smudging of the front side of a duplex page), but the duplex
is now off by about 1/16 inch. Every other printer I've tested around
campus yields even worse duplex alignment.
If printer thesis is on a service contract, I think HP should be called in
yet again (I've heard about their struggles to make it print aligned
duplex). While the other printers on campus can be left to slide a bit,
printer thesis should always be printing perfectly.
Thanks.
