Hi,
Well, I'm sure that every once in a while you have a bonehead like
me that comes along.....
On Tuesday, Aug29 at approximately 6pm I gtar'd my entire thesis
directory (~/thesis) on Athena and ftp'd it to my local machine. I
later rm'd all the files from Athena at about 12pm that night.
However, when I ftp'd the tar file, I forgot to used the 'bin' option,
so my tar file is corrupt. So I have no thesis. I have been trying
to get gtar to work, but I think that is impossible. The OLC people
said to send you e-mail. Does a backup of my ~/thesis directory between
Aug29 6pm - Aug29 11:59pm exist???? Thanks very much.
