I am scheduling brief outages for Ixion and Geryon. There have been
some problems recently with the Seagate 2gb drives. Seagate was
here last friday afternoon and gave us the lastest REV. This
has corrected the problems we have been experiencing on the DECstation
5000 fileservers. Currently Ixion and Geryon have one of these drives
with the earlier REV.
Ixion will be unavailable on Tuesday, Apr 11th, 8am-9am. Geryon will be
unavailable on Wednesday, Apr 12th, 8am-9am. At these times all volumes
located on these fileservers will be unavailable. To find out if you are
effected by this outage do the following:
% add consult
% lookup <lockername>
Tuesdays outage:
Filesystem <lockername> (AFS) is located on:
IXION.MIT.EDU (read-write)
Wednesdays outage:
Filesystem <lockername> (AFS) is located on:
GERYON.MIT.EDU (read-write)
