I'm not aware that we've disabled the vanilla "you have new mail"
notification though if the post office is heavily loaded, the
notice may not go out in a timely fashion. That notice isn't
supposed to be sent with the "reliable" flag anyhow.
We do have the ability to disable the "from" command. I don't
think we've done it but we probably should given the heavy
load we've been seeing.
