Hi.

I am writing from a private workstation, "Theo," which has not been updated
to the most recent Athena release because we set the machine not to auto-
update.

The reason we did that was because we have a fair amount of data stored on
the /var subdirectory of root, and I was informed that there might be a
slight chance of losing some of that information during an update.

However, we would like to get the most recent version of Athena. How do I
manually update and ensure that the data won't be affected?
