Hello Network,
The athena cluster in e52-364 is having a network
problem. 2 weeks ago the entire cluster was down.
I replaced the transcever (very hot & col light constant)
and the cluster came up. 2 days latter it was reported that
the cluster still is having problems. I replaced the
transcever from one of Rons stock.
The cluster mgr (John Dippold) left me v-mail last week
that the cluster is still having problems.
Symptoms are:
- Sun workstations recieve intermittent "network
failure" error message.
- Able to telnet in and out of cluster but telnet
within the cluster gives "telnet: setsockopt
(IP_TOS) (ignored): Not owner". Then times out.
- Jack # e52-364
- Able to log into all workstations.
SWap the DELNI??? I don't know who owns it....
