Hi all,
Even though 2-032 was closed to the public this week for maintenance,
I checked the room on my rounds to find out that 3/4's of the room was badly
flooded. There was anywhere from 1-2 inched of water at different locations.
I had immediately summoned P.P. at approx. 4:35pm. P.P. and Bldg. Services
arrived within 10 minutes. The problem was traced to a broken pipe in the wall
located near/along side of the white storage unit at the rear corner of the
room. All the hardware appears to be damage free. There is some damage to the
floor tiles at the front of the room, along with a few gullies in the floor
at the front of the room as well.
I now believe that P.P. has repaired the pipe, and a work order to the
Carpenter's shop has been issued (W.O.# 719632) for sheetrock repairs, and to
re-install the large white storage unit. (A wall had to be opened)
I have asked P.P. to check this room during 3rd shift hrs. as a precaution.
Anne, Carlton has the special keys. The situation is now under control.
Reid, you may want to visit this location to evaluate the situation on Thursday
am. It is possible that open work orders for sheetrocking, re-installation of
the storage unit, and other repairs that may pop up could hold up you
re-opening date.
