I looked into this for a bit and the only thing I found is that for the printers
that Lou reported to me via V-Mail, they were on tree-killer or paper-pusher.

These two servers had various lpd daemons running not associated with any job
in the queue (they were due to people using lpr2) and the printers timing out
on the jobs (daemon filter died errors). This is what most likely caused the
79 SERVICE errrors since that error is when the printer is expecting data from
the server and the server mysteriously disappears and stops sending data.

We'll watch this...

I killed all the lpd's and pscommhp's on those two servers and had to reboot
both of them to get lpd working again (lpd: bind: address already in use).
Tree-killer didn't come right back and mhpower found the VT220 on tree-killer
to be in the SETUP mode! Hitting <ENTER> in the setup mode allowed the server
to keep booting. This may be something to note... don't leave the VT220s in
SETUP mode or they will (via hardware flow control) cause the server to wait
for it to become ready.
