Outstanding Questions for AThenization:
1 -- HD#7887 William Chan, UnderGraduate Assoc. W20-401, 3-2696
He would like to set up the Dec5000 ua.mit.edu (athena wkstation) such
that a specific non-athena user could read mail sent specifically to
that machine. He does not want this user to have athena access or be
able to send e-mail or be able to read e-mail from any other machine. I
asked user accounts and they said that they will not be the ones who
would be able todo that. User accts suggested contacting the postmaster.
Is that what we must do?
2 -- HD#7918 Mark Van Dyke, w20-021 demo room
We have a SPARC Classic as a demo machine here at the MCC. We would
liketo have it Athenized. It has Solaris 2.1, a 424MB hard drive, 24 MB
RAMand is connected to the net.
Could someone please tell me what procedure I need to follow to have
this machine Athenized? Thank you very much for your help.

Subject: Converting to Athena
Dear Mr. Burke,
We have a private DECstation 5000/200 that we would like to convert to a
private ATHENA workstation. I spoke with Janet Daly and she told me
that
she believed that the DECstation 5000/200 is NOT a platform that is
supported by Athena. Could you verify that or is it possible to get
this
machine converted over to Athena? I may be reached at:
253-5483 or moglen@storm.mit.edu
Thank you.
