upon arrival three machines, eos-9, 11 & 12 in the middle of
re-connecting to servers (c. 20:42 hrs);
after 15 minutes on eos-17, while in own and another locker,
began to lose connections to servers;
lost x-windows on eos-17 after 3 additional minutes;
the usual self-attempt to re-boot began on eos-17;
meanwhile two additional machines disconnected and began
the usual ... eos-5 and 14 (i think) ... routine;
a sipb member pinged eos-9, successfully ... hm;
went over and hit eos-9's return key ... nothing;
meanwhile eos-5 and 14 came back with login windows,
followed by athena screensavers;
meanwhile eos-17 came back with the login window and i
successfully logged in;
meanwhile went back and hit return on eos-9 'til the
lonely ol' console login prompt appeared (no x-windows),
logged in ok, then logged out, now eos-9 normal :-)
went through the same routine on eos-12 and 11,
now all machines are back to normal :-)
an un-noticed power hit? or simply suns on networks ... feh!
any ideas?
