Hello,
I have been using Athena since it's inception at MIT. During this time,
I have yet to see as much wonton waste of printer resources as the
following:
athena% date
Wed Feb 9 01:12:11 EST 1994
athena% lpq -Pvaran
TREE-KILLER.MIT.EDU... varan is ready and printing
Rank Owner Job Files Total Size
active orian 61 invitesf.ps 109761505 bytes
athena%
The output consists of a gazillion *transparency* copies. Is it
normal for people to be abusing printers like this on Athena? I can
understand making a few copies, but 109+MB is pathetic.
Thanks for your attention.
