Subject: rs6000 system packs released
Date: Wed, 06 Oct 93 17:50:52 EDT

This afternoon the rs6000 system pack was released to fix
a critical EZ bug.

The vos release was done at 5:30 and took about 12 minutes. I'm not sure
how many files/bytes are involved with this change.

While the vos release was happening I was able to log into
the test cluster rs6000 (public-rssys cluster), do useful
work, access the system pack, etc..

In one of the zgrams I sent out to -i consult I asked RS6000 users to
send me a zgram if they noticed a degradation in performance. As of
yet I haven't received any. I also did a cview before and after the vos
release. Before the vos release there were 10 free rs6000, after the
vos release there were 19 free rs6000.
