Hi,
This is Feng Ruan. I am Rm 48-205. I am reporting a problem with
our DS3100 in this room 48-205 called MULL which is a private Athena
Workstation.
We just rebooted this machine, and it complained about its internal
harddisk device /dev/rrz1a, and there might be some corrupted data
there. It did comes up with a Login window though, but I can not
log in from there since there is no X-application once I login and
I get stuck. When I use telnet to login from a remote machine,
this is what I get:
( I have .startup.X in my account)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
>telnet mull
Trying 18.84.0.139...
Connected to mull.
Escape character is '^]'.
ULTRIX V4.2A (Rev. 47) (mull)

I talked to Athena help line, and they said this might be a software
problem, and we may need to reinstall Athena software at this point.
However, I do not know the exact nature of this problem. Please
let me know when you can come over and have a look at this machine,
by that time I should be at this room waiting. You can either
send me email, or call 3x5484.
Thanks
