Subject: EECS Hardware Problem
I'm not sure if you are the appropriate person to report a hardware
problem too, but I don't know who else to notify.
The recently installed VAXstation 3100, Vernor-Vinge, in the 5th floor
lab in bldg 38 has a problem with the floppy drive. It appears to either
be dirty or misaligned. When trying to read/write to a disk that is known
to be good, the computer says:
sd2:HARD ERROR: compare error
