Hello all,
My name is Amon Horne and I work in the Business Intelligence group in Data Management in IS&T (MITBI). We are the group currently working on the RAFT project. One of the developers who works with me,
Paolo Fragomeni is doing a presentation this Saturday (04/30). Paolo has extensive experience in the javascript and node.js space. Node.js, for those of you who don't know is an event-driven I/O framework for build scalable network programs based on Google's V8 engine. The following are details about the presentation and training class from Paolo:
In addition to my work at MIT, I have a project that I'm working on called Nodejitsu (http://nodejitsu.com). This is an open source Platform As a Service (http://bit.ly/fE6Uf) based on Node.js (http://nodejs.org/).
I am in giving an all-day node.js training class Saturday in Boston at Bocoup (http://bocoup.com)! There are special 50% discounted tickets available to members of the MIT community here: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/1529212917
Who would be interested in this? Web Developers who are interested in scalable network applications. There are only 10 tickets with this discount, but if there is a high demand I will make more available to accommodate MIT people.
