Hi,
There will be a talk on Tuesday, July 13, about Linkworks(tm), a new product
from DEC. The talk is being put on by the Greater Boston VAX Local Users Group
(GBVLUG) of which I am curently chair. I am sending this message out to
CSSCONSULT in hopes that we might be able to get a good turnout to the
meeting.
<some stuff deleted>
It should be very interesting. The meeting is in NW17-218 (Plasma
Fusion Center) from 2:00 p.m. to about 4:00 p.m.
The following is the abstract for the talk:
Linkworks(TM) - Cross application Hypertext for DECwindows Motif
LinkWorks(tm), the new information linking capability included in DECwindows
Motif will be discussed by Andre Pavanello, a DEC LinkWorks developer.
LinkWorks provides the individual user with the capability to establish
connections between particular data elements within one application (e.g.,
VMSmail message) and related data elements within another application (e.g.,
portion of text within Bookreader documentation). These connections
can then be used in a hypertext fashion to navigate from data in one
application to the related data in another application with quick
pulldown or keyboard commands.
