Quite seriously, I agree; unfortunately, we have been pressured to doing
the ports and doing them yesterday; for a long time, I have been asking
that we move back and step away from the problem. In short, we are
trying to do a layered approach on all the new platforms, but we had no
time in which to plan it. There were several discussions with several
different people, and we did present this informally during the
DCNS/Athena acquaintance seminars, and it was discussed at the Sysdev
meetings which are open, and I have had conversations with several
people. However, as you correctly point out, there was no design forum
specifically geared towards this, but we also did not have a chance to
step back from the ports either -- politics, as usual.
