Hello,
There will be a demo of a new version of Multi next week in the E40 Visitor's
Center.
Location: E40-302 (Visitor's Center)
Date: Wednesday, April 20
Time: 3 PM
For those of you unfamiliar with Multi:
It is an interactice source code debugger roughly comparable to
Codecenter from Centerline Software but has different features; it
comes with an integrated set of compilers (FORTRAN, C, C++, Pascal)
and has the considerable advantage in being donated to MIT at no cost
for educational purposes. Sun and DECmips releases of the new version
will be available within about 6 weeks, and an RS/6000 version is
under development.
Multi has been on Athena for some time (add multi; multi on Athena
DECstations or Suns to run the previous version).
I expect Glenn Hightower, one of the founders of Green Hills Software,
to be here to demo it and answer questions.
Hope to see you there!
