From: Bob Scheifler <rws@expo.lcs.mit.edu>

                          CALL FOR PROGRAM COMMITTEE

                                  for the

                       7TH ANNUAL X TECHNICAL CONFERENCE
                         "the designers' X conference"

If you are interested in serving on the program committee for the
7th annual X Technical Conference, sponsored by the MIT X Consortium,
please send mail by July 20 to:
                xconference@expo.lcs.mit.edu
Please include a brief description of who you are and why you would like
to participate (if I don't know you personally :-). You must be prepared
to work very hard for about two weeks starting October 26, and work
sporadically before that. Everything is done by electronic mail, so you
need a reliable connection with good turnaround.

        Bob Scheifler
        Director, MIT X Consortium

The X Technical Conference:

Come meet the people who developed the X Window System software you
use today and talk with them about the software you want to use
tomorrow. Attend technical presentations, tutorials, and Birds of a
Feather sessions, covering a broad spectrum of X practice, led by
designers on the cutting edge.

More than 1000 attendees, including experts from both industry and
academia, come together for three days to discuss the very latest
problems, solutions, and research.

Our 7th annual conference will be held in Boston, MA, at the Sheraton
Boston Hotel and Towers on January 18-20, 1993. An $85 registration fee
covers the entire conference including tutorials. A call for
participation in the conference, and information on registration, will
be sent to this mailing list in the near future.
