DCNS and IS Pubs are proud to announce the release of TechInfo v3.0 and
TechMail v2.0 for the Macintosh.

Both are available to MIT and the world via anonymous FTP from
net-dist.mit.edu. TechMail is in the directory /pub/TechMail, TechInfo
is in the directory /pub/techinfo. For more information on how to
download these applications to your Mac contact the Network Help desk
(x3-4101, net-help@mit.edu).

TechMail 2 contains numerous improvements over version 1 TechMail,
including the ability to enclose a native Macintosh file (e.g. an Excel
spreadsheet) with a mail message. See the TechMail User Guide included
with the distribution for a complete list of what's new in TechMail 2.
We recommend that all TechMail users upgrade to TechMail 2.0.

TechInfo 3.0 now provides access to worldwide TechInfo, keyword
searching, and improved provider functions.

Everyone is invited to stop by E40-316 between 9am and 5pm on February
20th for our "See it, Try it, Get it" day. You will be able to try out
the new versions and take home a copy.

For more information on TechMail, TechInfo, or any other MITnet services
please contact the Network Help desk at x3-4101, or net-help@mit.edu.

P.S. thanks to all of you who helped us alpha and beta test TechMail 2
and TechInfo 3.
