Conspiracy entertainment, but even Chris Carter would look for a better
script.

Sounds pretty shakey (after a quick look). The author appears even to be
unaware that the old 'subliminal message in theatre' bit was long ago
discredited; it could never be replicated. Eventually the original advocate
admitted it was a fraud to boost his failing advertising agency. Urban
legend lives, however.

[Cobain, Talking Heads, Koresh...yeah, sure]

What these people seem to overlook is that the technology doesn't currently
exist to even monitor the thoughts of a frog, yet we're supposted to
believe that this secret technology will control human thoughts with such
reliability as to be virtually undetectable?? Paranoid schizophrenia is a
more plausible explanation.

Besides, I suspect any research in this area would be CIA or DIA rather
than NSA.

Of course... this story itself could be a plant. Subtly discredit of
reports about Echelon, etc, by creating an association with crackpot
theories in the mind of the media and the public.
