Jim Choate's update is worse than the original. If his notes
show Eric's involvement in toad's near shutdown then he's
got a weird way of apprehending the truth, not that that's
news.
Now I like Jim, he's the godfather of my nightmare that
CDR is at core a federal operation, set in motion by the vitriol
that led to Gilmore proclaiming the shutdown of toad.
Happily, John never shut toad, not by a long shot. Send
a "who cypherpunks-undedited" to majordomo@toad.com.
Sure some of the subscribers are dead or in jail but the
robust list is impressive and may exceed that of any
of the CDRs.
Now just because Jim ratted on CJ and others is no
proof that he's a fed (saving one's ass is what the feds
expect to assure cooperation), but he smells and distorts
the record like one.
The reason he gives for not posting to toad is signal that he's
dirty. Or ignorant. For either I like him a lot, like I like Jeff
Gordon. Who may be the one who instigated the vitriol and
lined up the feds' most favored witnesses to fuck the
cpunks, one by one or the whole lot.
CDR? Remember Jim's refusal to stop using the tag, and
still it's there in everything that passes through ssz,
though now somewhat cloaked.
The long standing warnings that the flatfeet will worm their
way into threatening fora are coming true if Jim Choate's
anti-toxin is rightly analyzed for what it is.
I'll grant that being a shit may not be Jim's personal preference,
that he may be under pressure from Tivoli and IBM to fit their
one holer fits all.
Being a shit myself, adapted for square holers, the roundies
